StepSense LED Lighting Controller
The Mesmerize Lighting StepSense LED Lighting Controller is an upgraded, intelligent automation system that lights your stairs one step at a time as you approach, creating a flowing, cascading effect that’s as safe as it is striking. A sensor at each end of the staircase detects which direction you’re heading: walk up, and the steps illuminate from bottom to top; walk down, and they light from top to bottom. Once you’ve passed, the lights switch off in sequence – saving energy and adding a premium, hotel-style touch to any home or commercial space.

- Controls up to 32 individual steps – 32 independent channels for smooth, sequential step-by-step lighting; simply leave unused ports empty for shorter staircases
- Dual sensors included – one for the top (A) and one for the bottom (B) of the staircase, with a 120° detection angle and 1-3 metre sensing range that automatically reads your direction of travel
- Direction-aware cascading effect – steps light in sequence in the direction you walk, then switch off behind you; if both sensors trigger at once, the controller intelligently manages the sequence
- Powerful 500W load capacity – high 3A-per-channel output across 32 channels for large staircases with stable, flicker-free performance
- 5 selectable timing modes – choose how long the steps stay lit: 12s, 20s, 40s, 80s, or full-time (always on till next trigger)
- 6 adjustable brightness levels – set step brightness from 10% up to 100% to suit the mood and setting
- Built-in short-circuit protection – with a five-status indicator strobe that flags any wiring fault, plus reverse-polarity protection to guard against installation mistakes
- Simple DIY programming – press and hold to enter setup mode, then tap to assign each step; settings save automatically
- Safe 12/24V DC low-voltage operation – ideal for residential and commercial installations
- Compatible with single-colour (monochrome) LED strip and step lights – connect each step’s positive and negative poles to its matching numbered port in sequence

Please note: This is an indoor controller (IP20) and requires a 12V or 24V DC switching power supply, sold separately, sized to match your total LED load. It controls single-colour LED strips (the strips/step lights are purchased separately). Not waterproof – do not install outdoors, in high-humidity areas, or near open flame.
